BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Simon Tannock is the Co-founder of AlgaEnviro and a biotechnologist and environmental engineer based in Queensland, Australia. With over 28 years of experience, he has led the design of demonstration-scale algae systems and the development of innovative solutions to improve water quality and aquatic ecosystems.

Simon helped create Diatomix, a micronutrient blend that promotes beneficial diatom growth while controlling blue-green algae, and "SiLution", a silica supplement for low-silica waterbodies. His work has received international recognition for impact across raw water, wastewater, stormwater, and aquaculture sectors.
